RCA House System

What Is the House System?

William Lipscomb Elementary is implementing the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) House System during the 2026–2027 school year. Every student will join one of four Houses, creating a smaller community within the larger WLES family.

The House System is designed to strengthen belonging, positive relationships, character, leadership, teamwork, academic effort, and school spirit. Students work together toward shared goals while learning that their individual choices can help their entire House succeed.

Student Leadership

The House System gives students meaningful opportunities to lead. Students may help organize events, serve on House committees, welcome and encourage members, model House values, and build school spirit.

These experiences help students practice communication, responsibility, teamwork, and service.

How Families Can Participate

Families help bring the House System to life. Parents and guardians may be invited to selected House events and activities throughout the year.

You can support the program by:

  • Asking your child about their House and its values
  • Celebrating effort, kindness, leadership, and positive choices
  • Encouraging your child to contribute to their House community
  • Participating in family House activities when opportunities are announced
  • Reading the Community Compass for current House news and dates

Join the RCA House Points App

The RCA House Points app allows families to follow their child’s positive recognition and stay connected to the House experience.

Guardians can:

  • View their child’s House point history
  • Receive optional notifications when points are awarded
  • Read notes connected to awards
  • Follow school House point totals
  • Celebrate their child’s achievements at home
