Academic UIL

Students prepare for academic competitions that strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and content knowledge. Events may include areas such as number sense, storytelling, spelling, maps and charts, oral reading, and more.

Ambassadors

Lipscomb Ambassadors are student leaders selected to represent the school at tours, special events, assemblies, and community activities. They help welcome guests, model Lion pride, and serve as positive representatives of our campus.

Bold Idea Coding Club

Through Bold Idea, Lipscomb students in grades 3–5 explore computer science through project-based learning and mentorship from technology professionals. Students build coding skills while creating projects such as games, apps, websites, and other digital solutions.

Debate

Students learn how to research topics, organize ideas, speak with confidence, listen actively, and respectfully defend a point of view. Debate strengthens communication, reasoning, and critical-thinking skills.

Esports

Students participate in organized, school-based gaming experiences that build teamwork, strategy, communication, digital citizenship, and problem-solving.

Yearbook

Students help document the school year through photography, writing, design, interviewing, and event coverage. Yearbook teaches storytelling, teamwork, media literacy, and responsible use of technology.

Cheer

Cheerleaders build school spirit through chants, dance, movement, teamwork, and performances at school events. Students develop confidence, coordination, leadership, and pride in representing Lipscomb.

Disney Musicals in Schools

Disney Musicals in Schools gives Lipscomb students the opportunity to experience musical theater through performance, teamwork, and creative expression. Students learn acting, singing, movement, stage presence, and the behind-the-scenes work that brings a production to life.

Through rehearsals and performances, students build confidence, responsibility, collaboration, and pride in sharing their talents with the school community.

Instrumental Music Club

Students learn and perform instrumental music while developing rhythm, listening skills, confidence, collaboration, and appreciation for the arts. Performances may be shared with families and the school community throughout the year.

Basketball

Students build basketball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and healthy habits through practices, skill development, and game opportunities.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run combines physical activity with lessons in confidence, friendship, healthy decision-making, and goal-setting. Students participate in running and movement activities while building social-emotional skills, learning to support one another, and celebrating what their bodies and minds can do.

The season concludes with a celebratory 5K experience that gives participants a chance to show their growth, persistence, and teamwork.

Soccer

Students develop soccer skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, fitness, and confidence through practices, skill-building activities, and game opportunities.

Academy 4

Academy 4 provides participating fourth-grade students with a consistent adult mentor. Volunteers meet with students once a month, building leadership skills, encouragement, and a dependable relationship with a caring adult.
