Campus Wellness Guidelines

At William Lipscomb Elementary, student health and safety are a priority. We follow the Dallas ISD Local Wellness Policy (Board Policy FFA(LOCAL)), the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, and state wellness guidance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). These policies outline expectations for all foods provided to students during the instructional day.

To keep celebrations joyful, safe, and inclusive for all children:

• All treats must be store-bought, individually wrapped, and labeled for allergens
• Families must coordinate with the teacher at least 48 hours in advance
• Class parties will occur only on district-designated days at the end of the school day
• For birthdays, treats must arrive through the front office and not via student backpacks
• Candy may be limited or prohibited based on classroom needs and allergies
• Non-food celebration options will always be available
