Policy

Classrooms will be free of cell phones, smart watches, and Bluetooth earbuds during school hours. Students must place their devices on silent or turned off and store them in their backpacks. Device time will not be used as an incentive for free time in the classroom. If these items are used during school hours, they will be collected by a teacher or campus administrator.

Why?

Cell phones can be harmful to the learning environment, relationships, and students’ ability to improve their learning skills. Focus, relationships, and skill development are the most important aspects of school.

How can you connect with your child?

Parents and guardians can leave messages with the front office, and staff will deliver the message to the student regarding after-school plans. Students may also use school phones when necessary. Students are free to use their cell phones after school hours.

Las aulas estarán libres de teléfonos celulares, relojes inteligentes y audífonos Bluetooth durante el horario escolar. Los estudiantes deben poner sus dispositivos en silencio o apagados y guardarlos en sus mochilas. Los padres y tutores pueden dejar mensajes en la oficina principal, y el personal entregará el mensaje al estudiante con respecto a los planes después de clases. Los estudiantes también pueden usar los teléfonos de la escuela cuando sea necesario. Los estudiantes pueden usar sus teléfonos celulares después del horario escolar.
