William Lipscomb Elementary

CommUnication & Support

Staying connected is one of the most important ways we support student success. William Lipscomb Elementary uses clear, consistent communication tools to keep families informed throughout the school year.

Start Here Each Week

These are the two communication tools families should use most often.

ClassDojo

ClassDojo is our primary tool for communication between teachers and families. Parents should check ClassDojo daily for classroom announcements, reminders, photos, and messages.

  • Message teachers
  • Receive classroom announcements
  • View reminders and updates
  • Stay connected to classroom learning

Check daily or as needed.

Community Compass

Community Compass is the official weekly newsletter of William Lipscomb Elementary. It includes upcoming events, important reminders, student celebrations, PTA news, and campus updates.

  • Weekly events
  • Important reminders
  • PTA and campus updates
  • Student celebrations

Published every Sunday.

Other Ways We Communicate

Some messages are shared through additional tools depending on the type of information.

SchoolMessenger

Automated calls, texts, and emails are used for important announcements, attendance information, weather updates, and emergency communication.

Sent as needed.

Thursday Folders

Thursday Folders provide one consistent day each week for printed flyers, forms, student work, and other important information to go home.

Sent home Thursdays.

Parent Conferences

Parent conferences are held twice a year, in the fall and spring. Families may also request meetings with teachers throughout the year.

Fall, spring, and by request.

Connect With the Principal

Coffee with Carter is a monthly opportunity for families to hear updates, ask questions, and share feedback directly with campus leadership.
